Your Legacy Could Be Tarnished

If you didn’t get professional help, it is likely you signed a contract that will come back to haunt you and the next person in your role.

Your contract is likely full of land mines that won’t become apparent to your company until near the end of the agreement. All soft drink contracts have between 12 and 32 terms that should not be in them.

Here are a few examples:

  • The fees you will have to pay at the end of the contract if you want to switch suppliers.

  • They can add up to millions of dollars and will severely limit your flexibility.

  • Use or lose clauses that return money to your soft drink supplier if you don’t perform as they dictate.

  • Outsized volume commitments that make your contract term much longer than you originally thought it would be.

The land mines will explode with a mighty force that will have your successor cursing you and have your reputation in tatters. Don’t let your legacy be tarnished.
